Rogerson hired as new Maritime Discovery Centre Project Administrator
(Brockville) – The Maritime Discovery Centre of the Thousand Islands (MDC) steering committee today announced the hiring of Bill Rogerson to serve as its new Project Manager. Rogerson brings key experience and a proven skill set to the Centre. He began his duties March 29th.
His professional experience most recently entailed working as the Asset and Infrastructure Coordinator for the Town of Gananoque. Duties included managing the municipality’s property portfolio while managing purchasing, budgeting, project coordination, lifecycle costing, preparing Requests for Proposal, data analysis, report writing and presentation.
“Bill has more than the required skills to fulfill our needs at the MDC. He also brings passion to this position as he believes in this project and recognizes its potential. We chose him because he has the ‘heart’ to exceed our expectations,” stated committee Vice Chair Tony Barnes.
The Maritime Discovery Centre is a $20 million, 27,000 square foot tourist attraction to be located on Brockville’s waterfront alongside the Tall Ships Landing condominium development.
