If you click on the DISCOVER heading at the top of the page you will see a section titled RECORDS OF MEETINGS AND MINUTES.

Click on that title and you will find a record of all the MDC meetings for the last two years.

Click on the date of the meeting you are interested in and it will download to your computer in a PDF format.

Thanks Cathy. I am glad that you, and your daughter, are looking forward to the MDC opening. Right now we are planning on opening near the middle of 2012 - so it is still a little ways off. For the aquarium area we a planning a large tank with many of the biggest fish that the St. Lawrence has to offer including gar, sturgeon, bowfin and eels. We are hoping that visitors will be able to walk through part of it via a tunnel. In addition to that we plan on having a pair of otters. Thats just the big aquarium side - there will be lots more.

What size (dimensions and gallons) is the aquarium expected to be? And how far along in the planning, building etc is the aquarium at the moment? Is there going to be just one for all the fish species? Cheers. WW

We are in the detail design phase of the aquaria Wilf however the main aquarium array is proposed to span 48 feet in length and approximately 8 feet wide. It will be divided to separate predator/prey relationships. There will be other smaller aquaria as well with a planned total volume of freshwater exceeding 200,000 litres.
